Dear Sellers,

Textbook Season has winded down, and now is a great time to start looking into ways to expand your sales venues to grow your businesses. Review the marketplaces you are currently listing on, and take a look at the other options that are available to you. Here is a short list of marketplaces that we are seeing growing sales from:

We've had some really great feedback from sellers who are listing on the international Amazon marketplaces also. If you are interested in selling on them, please contact us for more information. For a complete list of marketplaces, please take a look at our Wiki.

We're happy to announce that we have re-designed our Wiki. If you're not already familiar with our Wiki, we urge you to take a look. Our Wiki is our informational website, which contains instructions for using FillZ, helpful tips, information about marketplaces and FillZ partnerships, as well as other useful information. We're constantly updating the information on it, and we've been working hard to make it easier to find what you're looking for. To access the Wiki, click here, or log into your FillZ account and click on the link labeled "Knowledge Base" from the main status page.

Have a great month!

Lee-Ann

Canada's Largest Used Bookstore grew its sales using Chrislands.com and FillZ.com

Russell Books first started in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1962 as a small used bookstore of only 300 square feet and a single aisle. It gradually grew into the biggest used, antiquarian and remainder bookstore in its city and in 1991 Russell Books opened a Victoria, British Columbia store at 734 Fort Street where it stands today. New Features

Endicia Support - We've added support for Encidia's 'Large Envelope (Flat) in combination with First Class' shipping option. This new option has been labeled First Class Flat in FillZ and can be seen when you are selecting a method to ship your items by on the Postage page. We've also added support for Priority Small Box Flatrate (new to USPS).

Run Reports - If you go to the Reports page in your FillZ account, there is a new link called "Run Reports". If you go to this page, you can run some new reports to see what sold within so many days, and what the value was. This is really neat if you sell multiple copies of the same SKUs as it will show you what items are the most popular. Please note that you must select a Report Type as well as an Output Format in order to view a report.

Advanced Import Page - We've made a change to the Start->Import->Advanced Import page, which now offers the ability to add/subtract from the existing quantity that is in FillZ for a SKU, when importing a file. Previously the only option was to replace the quantity that was in FillZ with what was in the file being imported. Check out the new page, and read the help bubble for more information. We also added a link in the help bubble that takes you to our Wiki for complete details about using the page.

Bug Fixes

UIEE - If you upload UIEE files to us and you are missing a title for a SKU, we are now showing an error in the report when we process the file. We recently found that these weren't being imported, and that there wasn't anything in the report to let sellers know. Since this rollout we've been requested to display the SKU of the affected items, so we will be working on this some more.

New Seller Corner

Have you ever seen an order that says N/A and you didn't know what it meant?

If you receive an order and it says N/A in the order, it means that you need to take a close look at the order and check to see if you have any in stock as FillZ sees a problem.

We will not send out deletes or quantity updates for orders that show as N/A. Should you have copies in stock and want to ship them, you will need to manually decrement the quantities of the items in FillZ so we can update the other marketplaces.

CS Tip
ISBN Consolidation - What is it, and how can it help you?

Some marketplaces have policies about how many listings you are allowed for items with the same condition. Marketplaces such as Amazon and AbeBooks do not want more than two listings for the same ISBN/UPC/ASIN with the same condition.

For the above reason, we offer ISBN consolidation, which can be turned on per marketplace. ISBN consolidation allows FillZ to consolidate like listings under a new SKU and then export to the marketplace. The listings appear the same in FillZ, but on the marketplace only a single listing will appear. The single listing will have a quantity that shows the total number of items you have for sale in the same condition.

For more information about ISBN consolidation, please consult our documentation here.

If you would like to have this turned on for one or more marketplaces, please contact us.

Did You Know?

FillZ Has A Referral Program?

FillZ rewards clients who refer our business to their friends and associates. Here's how it works:
  • You spread the word about FillZ.
  • A new client references your FillZ user name or store name at sign-up. **It is very important for the new seller to use either of these two identifiers.
  • We credit your account in the amount that the new client pays to FillZ after the first full month of chargeable services.
It's that easy!
