Dear Seller,

July has been a very busy month around here! We attended the Seller Conference in Seattle, we've been working on the last few touches of our Seller Central integration, we announced an exclusive promotion from a new Marketplace, TextbooksRus, and we welcomed a new member to our Team.

We are very thrilled to have Cory, our newest Developer, on board with us. In a few weeks time, our Technical Team will be joined by one more Developer. With these two great additions, you can expect some very exciting changes over the next few months. Specifically, we will be working on:

  • Faster turn-around times for script development requests;

  • A brand new look and fee for our site;

  • Integration with Scouting Tool Solutions;

  • A completely revamped inventory input feature;

  • New supported venues;

    Amazon Seller Conference:

    We recently attended the Independent Sellers' Conference orgranized by Robert Grothe and Rhonda Schneider in Seattle. We would personally like to thank you both for organizing such an important and valuable event. It gave us the opportunity to meet with some of our existing clients face to face, meet with potential new clients and to solidify relationships with current partners.

    Though we didn't have a chance to attend all of the workshops Amazon hosted, we were able to catch the talks that focused primarily on the new Webstores feature, Fullfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Seller Central (AKA Merchant@). It looks like Amazon is working very hard to maintain a competitive edge over other marketplaces.

    We had a chance to meet with members of the Amazon Team to discuss our progress with Seller Central. We are currently beta-testing this market and are still looking for qualified candidates to help us.     Upcoming Changes for FillZ:
  • Amazon.ca Currency Conversion Update: Just in case you didn't receive the email we distributed last week, we are sending this notification to let you know that we will be updating the currency conversion rate applied to your listings before they are uploaded to Amazon.ca. To view the announcement on our forum, please click here 

    The changes will take effect August 9th. If you don't list on Amazon.ca, these changes will not affect you.

    Hot Tips

    Are you ready for Textbook Season?
    Textbook season is right around the corner and the venues are starting to heat up. Here are some tips we think will help this season be your most successful ever:

  • Purge Lightly: Though we always recommend this throughout the year, it's especially important over the next few weeks to try to avoid purging all of your markets all at once. Because of the higher volume of information exchanges, it's a good idea to keep purging to a minimum to avoid bogging down the system with excess files.

  • Reprice:  Stay competitive with your prices. Students are great at hunting down the bargains. If you don't have a repricing strategy or didn't know that you can use FillZ to reprice your inventory, check out our wiki by clicking here to get some ideas. 

  • Process & Ship: Process your orders quickly. Provide tracking information with all order confirmations. This will decrease the volume of buyer emails, freeing up your time to sell more books!

  • Fresh Inventory: Keep your inventory up-to-date.

    Common Questions

    I don't see a box for TextbooksRus in the list of Marketplaces. How do I configure?
    TextbooksRus has not been added to our list of supported markets. For now, you can set this venue up under any of the Custom Market settings. They are half-way between a fully supported market and a Custom Market. We can send your inventory updates, we can retrieve your orders, BUT you can't confirm orders through FillZ yet.

    Did You Know?

    FillZ Has A Referral Program?

    FillZ rewards clients who refer our business to their friends and associates. Here's how it works: 

    1. You spread the word about FillZ.

    2.
    A new client references your FillZ user name or store name at sign-up. **It is very important for the new seller to use either of these two identifiers.
